Boswell Class of 1984

40th Reunion Celebration Party

Sept 28th 2024

SpringHill Suites in the Stockyards

And we don't want you to miss this because of price.

The price is unfortunately what it is to cover the expenses to throw a party like this. Stuff like food and a DJ and a place to have it in unfortunately comes with hard cost. The hotel, catering, alumni shirts, etc., have to be paid.

The Planning is being done by a volunteer committee of alumni and from a cross section of Mounders, Saginaw peeps, and Lake Country estate kids. We took the hard cost and divided by the number of projected alumni who will come and that’s how we came to the price.

None of us are making a nickel, in fact some of us are giving lots of our time and effort to do this. Some are donating time, effort and supplies to the make table top decorations. The website was built and paid for out of one alumni’s pocket. One alumni paid for the deposit just to hold the space.

And if it makes you or anyone else feel better, if there is any money left over we are giving it to a deserving current student from the class of 2025 in the way of a scholarship.

But we also know that money is tight. And we on the committee don’t want cost prohibiting anyone from coming to the reunion. So if anyone can’t afford it but still wants to come, send me an email at bill@williamleemartin.com and I will see you are put on the list at no charge. No one will know except for me.

We are just trying to throw a fun party.

The reunion is a time to get together with those we have the shared experience of adolescence. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

And if you’re like me, the reunion involves a little bit of curiosity to see what people look like after 40 years.

And lastly, the reunion is a time to celebrate because we are still here. We didn’t quit. We endured. We didn’t cower. We conquered.

And even if life didn’t turn out like we had planned, we are still PIONEERS. And that’s worthy of celebrating.
